In 2024, FundAFID expands its horizons and signs important alliances with international NGOs. Such is the case of PREMIERES URGENCE INTERNATIONALE (P.U.I.) within the framework of the project:
"Integrated response to the emergency needs of the most vulnerable populations in Venezuela."

Capitalization of all information derived from the inclusion and participation of beneficiaries and the adaptability of interventions based on new knowledge. FundAFID implements capacity development in the areas of access, disability, gender-based violence and disability, basic notions of Venezuelan Sign Language (LSV), and nutrition and disability. In the states of Delta Amacuro, Bolívar, and Amazonas, FundAFID will provide a Training of Trainers (ToT) to the other partners of CONAHVE so that their respective staff have the necessary skills to train health/MHPSS personnel at the recipient health centers and community promoters to ensure the effective integration of inclusion and intercultural and gender transformation approaches.
The CONAHVE consortium will also address the following groups:
People with Disabilities (PwD): This category of the population is often among the most vulnerable, even in non-humanitarian crisis situations. In Venezuela, where the healthcare system is collapsed, the staff who have not left the country or recent graduates often lack the skills to provide a welcoming environment for people with disabilities, creating an additional barrier to accessing healthcare. Discrimination and violence are often common in this group, which further discourages them from accessing services. The situation is even more severe for women and girls affected by disabilities. FundAFID will implement capacity building in access, disability, human rights, basic sign language, and the link between malnutrition and cognitive disabilities.

Another important alliance is established with HUMANY AND INCLUSION, with whom we had previously worked on the first project in which we participated. This time, it is within the framework of the project: "INTEGRAL AND INCLUSIVE RESPONSE TO EDD, GENDER, AND DISABILITY, TO THE HUMANITARIAN NEEDS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF PÁEZ (APURE STATE) VENEZUELA."
The project aims to contribute to a comprehensive response that addresses the basic needs of the most vulnerable people in the state of Apure, Venezuela, who are affected by the economic situation, displacement, violence, and natural disasters. To achieve this, several specific objectives are set: first, it seeks to strengthen the mechanisms of comprehensive protection that address the needs of the local population, with a special focus on people with disabilities, girls, and women. Secondly, it aims to improve access for those in need to physical and functional rehabilitation services, as well as mental health care and psychosocial support. Finally, efforts are being made to prepare local communities for the risks and consequences of armed and environmental violence, promoting early actions to mitigate its impact.
