FundAFID
Foundation

In 2017, Venezuela was immersed in an increasingly acute humanitarian crisis. The shortage of food and medicine and the accelerated deterioration of the economy made it impossible for many families to meet basic needs.

Among the most vulnerable populations were children and people with disabilities. It was necessary to create a mechanism that would allow the sponsorship of therapies and the arrival of resources from abroad.

This is how in February 2018 the FundAFID Foundation was born with the aim of generating awareness about the harsh reality faced by children with disabilities in Venezuela and to facilitate a mechanism that allows the arrival of generous international support.

FundAFID Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization registered according to the laws of the state of Florida dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities.

Considering the complex humanitarian emergency still prevalent in Venezuela, FundAFID Foundation concentrates its efforts on providing the relief needed by the most vulnerable people in the country.

We work with FundAFID Venezuela and other foundations and organizations, to ensure the continuity of assistance programs at the local level.

SPONSORSHIP OF SUPERVISION OF A NUTRITIONIST

Many children do not receive a proper diet during their growing years. Monitoring by a nutritionist allows us to identify and address any dietary deficiency in a timely manner so that we can optimize resources and maximize our impact on the health of each child.

HUMANITARIAN AID PROGRAM

We collect food, medicines, diapers, and other supplies and we send and distribute them in Venezuela.  We also attend to special needs such as reading glasses, hearing aids, and other aids.

COLLABORATORS

They are individuals and organizations that provide us with their constant and generous support.

Among them we want to highlight:

"PADRINOS"

FundAFID Foundation offers the opportunity of sponsorship to a child whose socioeconomic conditions require special attention and resources.

Sponsors, called Padrinos, commit to making a monthly contribution to help meet the requirements of their godson or goddaughter.

In addition to experiencing The Joy of Giving, the padrinos frequently receive communications and updates about their godson's / goddaughters's progress.
